BORN AT DAWN LIFE: BEST POSSIBLE HAIR WITH THE LEAST POSSIBLE EFFORT?

HAIR- you wear it all the time and many say it's your best accessory, so it’s important that it looks good. But who has time to think too much about it with everything else we have on?

We wanted to know the secrets. What can we do to have the best possible hair with minimal effort? We asked Deb Dominic, Founder of Hairsmiths, Norwich and award winning LFW hair stylist to share her top tips… 

As a stylist that's been around the block a few times, I'm a huge believer that the success of hair depends on 50% on the skill of your stylist & 50% on your attitude & approach towards it.

• ATTITUDE- you have to be realistic but open minded. Be aware of your own hair & what you need it to do & how you need it to act. Good hair will always work best when it's tailor made to the individuals needs & hair type.

• PREP- always have a good regime for your hair. You don't have to spend the earth, but do buy the correct products for your hair type & what you're doing to it. Also find ways to make it work best for you. Day1 wash hair & blow out straight/day2 scrunch in texturising products/day3 topknot. Having a plan = direction= good hair days.

• MAINTAIN- you don't have to cut every 6 weeks (unless you want to), but do book your next appointment in advance so it doesn't get out of hand (I recommend around the 8 week mark- everyone differs obviously). Ask your stylist for little tweaks like fringe trims & styling tips. A stylist that values your custom will always offer advice when genuinely needed.

• BE BRAVE- dare to experiment with different looks. Dry styling & accessorising the hair have made a major comeback & are great ways to dramatically change your look without committing to it full time. For inspiration just check Instagram or Pinterest, the possibilities are endless!
