In the UK, the amount of people working for themselves has risen rapidly over the last 2 decades. Many enjoy the freedom and flexibility that having your own business can bring… is there really anything better than following your passion and pursuing a dream?

But this passion can sometimes be all-consuming and involve lots of long hours which can mean that your self-care can suffer. It also may involve working in isolation a lot which means you may lack the support network and energy that you get from working in larger teams. Add the financial pressure and endless to-do list into the mix and it really can seem overwhelming at times.
